Virtual Parenting Time

Our Virtual Visit service provides a safe and structured way for children and parents to maintain connection when in-person parenting time is not possible or appropriate. Visits take place through Zoom and are monitored by a trained supervisor to help support a child-focused interaction and ensure compliance with any applicable court orders or agreed-upon conditions.

This service may be appropriate for families separated by distance, situations involving temporary barriers to in-person parenting time, or circumstances where a monitored virtual environment has been recommended.

Brayden Supervision Services takes reasonable steps to support a safe and secure virtual environment. Parents acknowledge that virtual communication platforms involve inherent technology-related risks, and Brayden Supervision Services cannot guarantee complete security or confidentiality. Both parents remain responsible for understanding and following any court-ordered restrictions or conditions that may apply, including no-contact provisions. Parents are encouraged to seek legal advice if they are unsure whether virtual parenting time is appropriate under their circumstances.

Supervised Virtual Parenting Time

During Supervised Virtual Parenting Time, the supervisor is physically present with the child(ren) at the home or parenting time centre to assist with facilitating the visit. This service may be recommended for younger children, including children under the age of five, who may require additional support with technology, engagement, and maintaining focus during the visit.

Monitored Virtual Parenting Time

During Monitored Virtual Parenting Time, the residing parent is responsible for providing the child(ren) with a private and appropriate space for the visit. Prior to the visit beginning, the child(ren) and residing parent will connect with the supervisor virtually to confirm the visit is ready to proceed. The residing parent is expected to allow the child(ren) to participate independently and avoid involvement or interruptions during the visit.

The supervisor will monitor the virtual visit and will intervene only when necessary, including to address safety concerns, support compliance with the rules of supervised parenting time, or respond to situations where the court order or service agreement is not being followed.
